Biila is a car transportation service operating in Finland and Sweden. The service platform brings together those in need of car transportation and freelance drivers who perform the transfers by driving. Our auto transportation service is primarily used by car dealerships, car rental companies and service centers, for whom Biila moves any car on average within 29 hours. The platform provides access to a network of approximately 1900 active freelance drivers. In 2023, approximately 90,000 cars were transferred through Biila.

Our goal is to become the leading provider of car transportation services in the Nordic countries by 2025. Currently, Biila employs over 30 people in Finland and Sweden. We invest strongly in growth – in the freelance drivers, customer experience, innovation and leveraging new technology. Development and responsibility are seen as crucial parts of success at Biila.

We are now seeking a dynamic individual to lead development efforts for our B2B customers' web platform, ensuring alignment with the business objectives and customer needs. This role involves close collaboration with the product managers, designers and stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize features, and participate in hands-on development tasks.

Your responsibilities

  • Leading the development efforts for the B2B customers' web platform, ensuring alignment with the business objectives and customer needs

  • Collaborating closely with the product managers, designers and stakeholders to define requirements and prioritize features

  • Participating in hands-on development tasks for the B2B customers' web platform, contributing to its success

  • Mentoring and coaching your team members, fostering their growth and development in technical expertise and best practices

  • Driving the implementation of scalable, reliable, and high-performance solutions, adhering to industry standards and best practices

  • Staying updated on emerging technologies and trends in web development, integrating them into our platform as appropriate

  • Owning the recruitment process for the B2B customers' development team, including candidate sourcing, interviews and hiring decisions

  • Leading your own development team and recruiting talents that align with our vision and goals

  • Contributing to defining and shaping the technical strategy for the B2B customers' web platform, driving continuous improvement and innovation

We expect you to have

  • Fluency in English, as well as either Finnish or Swedish

  • Possibility to work according to the time zones of UTC +2 or UTC +3

  • Solid leadership experience with a proven track record of leading successful web development projects and teams

  • Proficiency in backend and frontend web development technologies, with hands-on experience in building robust and scalable web applications

  • Flexibility and adaptability in working with various languages and technologies as needed for different projects

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

  • Experience working in agile development environments, with a focus on iterative delivery and continuous improvement

  • Knowledge of the industry best practices in web development, including security, performance optimization and accessibility standards
